Webley (International) Ltd  (˜Webley™) of Willenhall, West Midlands, UK, the iconic British Shooting company established in 1790,announced today the launch of the Webley-Venom Paradigm â„¢ -a unique, adult, single stroke, full power, patent-pending, pneumatic rifle.

“In February 1910 Webley was granted its first Airgun Patent. Exactly 100 years later we are launching the patent-applied for,Webley-Venom Paradigm *, a pneumatic rifle which needs only a single stroke cocking action, requiring a similar effort to that needed to cock a traditional under-lever spring gun, to deliver full UK power of approximately 11.4 ft/lbs Said Mike Hurney, Chief Executive Officer of Webley (International) Ltd.

The new Rifle features a unique power source; AccelAir technology that uses Formula 1™ developed materials for its linear guides and seals, to enhance the natural compression of the air when the gun is cocked by creating the squeezed air™ effect of a deflating balloon. It has a Webley designed and developed barrel, a two-stage trigger that is adjustable for position and pressure, a unique, Swans neck loading bolt, that is fully removable when the gun is not in use, for optimum safety. Shooters can select a custom dedicated right or left handed, Thumbhole, stock in high quality Walnut fitted with an adjustable butt pad Hurney added.

This highly accurate, recoil-free rifle has a lock-time of approximately one third that of conventional PCPs, is supremely consistent shot-on-shot due to the ultra-precise amount of air that is inherently regulated on every shot. The gun was shooting single-hole groups at 50 metres during design and development, offering all the benefits of a top-of-the-range PCP without the cost and inconvenience of bottles, pumps and hoses said Paul Garrity, Webleys Senior Technical Manager.

We believe that the launch of the Paradigm, a wholly British design, which we are manufacturing in the UK on a Mazak multi-axis, twin-spindle CNC machine purchased specifically for this project, is a truly fabulous way to celebrate the 100th anniversary of our first airgun patent, exemplifying, as it does, the perfect marriage of the take anywhere with only a tin of pellets convenience and reliability of a spring gun with the accuracy, low-noise and lack of recoil of a top class PCP.Reliability has been designed in by the use of Precision Needle Roller Pivot Bearings in the loading lever and the reduction of O rings in the entire rifle to just two, one of which is entirely passive and the other is on the loading bolt.
