NEW - WEBLEY ACCESSORIES

             “WEBLEY LAUNCHES NEW ACCESSORIES

Webley (International) Ltd (“Webley”) of Willenhall, West Midlands, UK, the iconic British Shooting company established in 1790, announced today the launch of additional products in their growing line of air pistol and air rifle accessories.

 Logun Pro-Tilt ™ Bipods

“Logun bipods are constructed from lightweight, high-grade, pre-hardened alloys that are then anodised with an anti-glare black finish. Strong and durable, they are designed to be quick and steady to use. Features include spring loaded adjustable legs that are notched for multiple, positive-lock, height positions, a quick release rifle fitting and rubber-dampened tension springs to reduce noise in the field. The Pro-Tilt ™ facility allows the rifle to be tilted from side to side to level it on uneven ground and slings can be used whilst the bipod is attached” said Mike Hurney, CEO of Webley.

Webley air pistol and air rifle Pellet Catchers

“Webley pellet catchers are solidly constructed from heavy-gauge galvanised steel for durability, both models are suitable for wall mounted or free-standing use and are designed to take standard 14cm square card or paper targets. The rifle pellet catcher has a deflect angled back to collect pellets safely and avoid ricochets and is ideal for riles with velocities up to 1250 fps and pneumatic guns such as the Webley Paradigm, Raider 10 and Sidewinder. The pistol model perfectly complements the best selling Webley Alecto, Typhoon and Tempest pistols. Both models come complete with 20 targets (10 off of each of two target patterns) ” concluded Hurney.

Press Release - Raider 10 Upgrade

“WEBLEY UP-GRADE THE RAIDER 10 ™- THE MOST INEXPENSIVE MULTI-SHOT PCP IN THE WORLD”

-Retain Market-leading Price-Point!

Webley (International) Ltd (“Webley”) of Willenhall, West Midlands, UK, the iconic British Shooting company established in 1790, announced today the up-grade of its highly successful Raider 10 ™ multi-shot PCP that had become  ‘The most inexpensive multi-shot PCP in the World’ when it was re-launched in February 2010 at a category-beating RRP of £299

“The Raider 10 ™ is Webley’s most tried and trusted multi-shot PCP, having sold in its thousands over the last 5 years. Rugged and reliable, during development it was cycled over 5,000 times –without a single miss-feed!

When we re-launched the gun in February with a retail price of under £300 it took the market-place by storm and we were inundated with calls from both consumers and retailers alike to check that the pricing was not an error; it immediately became our best seller.” said Mike Hurney, CEO of Webley.

”Initially we struggled to meet the demand and have dramatically increased production and at the same time decided that we could incorporate some new features and benefits that had been requested by our customers. We have replaced the original shrouded barrel with a rifled steel barrel made from the finest quality German P & P tube that comes complete with a factory-fitted QGS II ™ silencer that we believe to be the quietest air rifle sound moderator in the world1-emitting only 61.6 dbA and showing a reduction in dbA of over 20% when compared to the original shrouded barrel model-perfect for hunting. We also reduced the barrel length making it more manouverable in the field whilst increasing barrel rigidity and strength” added Simon Atkins, Webley’s Technical Manager, who specified the gun’s new features.

“With a fully adjustable 2-stage trigger, an ultra-positive magazine indexing system and a beech stock this is a fully specified gun that now stands favorable comparison with guns costing more than twice as much” stated Paul Garrity, Webley’s Senior Technical Manager, who was part of the original Webley Raider design team.

“When we dramatically re-positioned the price of the Raider 10tm I expected sales to soar, with the additional features incorporated in the new ‘XS’2 model –and no increase in price- I am confident that this rifle will swiftly become the UK’s top-seller” said Steve Hoare, Webley’s Sales Manager.

The original version of the Raider 2, 2-shot gun (in .22 only) is still available with a reduced RRP of £249

Press release - New 900K Series Model

“WEBLEY & SCOTT (TM) LAUNCH ALL-NEW 900 K SERIES SHOTGUN RANGE AT THE ‘WOW!‘ CHALLENGE”

Webley (International) Ltd (“Webley”) of Willenhall, West Midlands, UK, the iconic British Shooting company established in 1790, announced today at the “WOW!” –World of Webley- Challenge the launch of its all-new 900 K series of Over/Under shotguns.

“To celebrate our dual anniversaries in 2010 -100 years from the grant of our first airgun patent, and 220 years from the formation of the business itself we are holding a series of 50-Bird sporting shoots in conjunction with the Oxford Gun Company. The second such shoot took place at Bredon School, Bushley, Nr. Tewkesbury on the 1st of May –the first event in a three-day shooting weekend. Over the last three years Webley & Scott(tm) have grown to be the number three best-selling shotgun brand in the UK due to the combination of extremely well specified products, coupled with Webley’s traditional reputation for excellent value-for-money and our unique market-leading ‘Lifetime Warranty.’” said Mike Hurney, CEO of Webley.

”We chose to launch this impressive new range of Over and Under guns, which are available in both 12ga and 20ga, and with barrel lengths of either 28” or 30”,in Sporting configurations, and in 26”,28” or 30” barrel lengths in Field configurations at the “WOW!” Challenge, because David and Doug Florent of the Oxford Gun Company and Dan Prescott of Prescott Shooting do so much to encourage young people to enter our sport through the well-known ‘Schools Challenge’, and our new guns are perfectly pitched in terms of features, benefits and pricing for people just entering the sport” added Hurney.

“Our original 900 series of entry-level guns were a major factor in building our success in the shotgun market, but the new guns offer impressive improvements over the original model, such as a gated barrel selector, heavy-duty hammer springs and internal parts that have been CNC machined to allow 100% interchangeability between guns. –but at exactly the same price as the original model. All the guns have stunning looks, featuring High-gloss blued barrels and actions, exquisitely jeweled mono-bloc walls and beautiful oiled Turkish Walnut stocks and fore-ends. The actions are CNC machined from a billet of advanced Molybdenum-chrome steel for action strength and longevity, which complements the 3” magnum chambers and chrome lined barrels that are proofed for the use of steel shot in Birmingham. All models come complete with 5 choke tubes and choke wrench and are presented in a high quality ‘Negrini’ carrying case” said Steve Hoare, Webley’s Sales Manager.

“I have supervised the manufacture of these guns to the highest tolerances in the same factory where we produce our market-leading 3000 series 7-pin detachable sidelock models, and I am delighted to say that the same attention to detail is evident in these boxlocks. I think we can be justly proud of them” concluded Paul Garrity, Webley’s Technical Manager.
